Plaza Construction Signs Weehawken 1800 Condominium Project

Plaza Construction signed the contract for the Weehawken 1800 Condominium project on May 10. CCA CEO and President Yan Wei, Plaza Construction President and COO David Wang and Plaza Executive Vice President Tom D'Ercole attended the signing ceremony along with the team from WHK Waterfront Urban Renewal LLC.
Plaza Construction was awarded preconstruction and construction management services for the 282-unit development currently being planned for 1800 Avenue at Port Imperial in Weehawken, NJ. The 3.65-acre parcel is now a surface parking lot. The final chapter of the planned community is designed by Handel Architects and is set to feature high-end for-sale units in a compound that tops out at eight stories. A split in the site creates a new pedestrian plaza between the proposed buildings.
The original master plan consisted of 2.8 million gross square feet of development and includes over 1,500 residential condominium units, 45,000 square feet of ground-level retail and 1,600 parking spaces. Amenities on the larger development sites include a spa, yoga studios, media center and kids’ rooms.
