Plaza Construction Breaks Ground on The Gateway at Wynwood in Miami

Plaza Construction broke ground Jan. 17 on The Gateway at Wynwood, a nearly 460,000-square-foot class A office building north of downtown Miami.
The Gateway at Wynwood is located minutes away from downtown Miami, Aventura and Miami Beach as well as Virgin Trains, Miami International Airport and PortMiami — the cruise capital of the world. Strategically located near Interstate 95, Gateway at Wynwood can be easily accessed from Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach to the north. The environmentally responsible project will have about 195,000 square feet of leasable office space, nearly 25,900 square feet of prime street-level retail, a private rooftop terrace and a garage. Amenities include 24/7 security and 2:1,000 on-site covered parking.
“The new class A office space with retail amenities will be a significant addition to the Wynwood/Midtown area. It is developments such as this that allow Miami to continue to attract top talent to our market,” Plaza Construction President Brad Meltzer said. “Plaza is pleased to be the selected builder of this project that adds to Miami’s live-work-play advantage.”
Renowned Miami architect Kobi Karp found inspiration in Wynwood’s artistic spirit and modern vibe to design the The Gateway at Wynwood. The 12-story tower is expected to be completed in the second half of 2021.
