May 22, 2020

KEYWORDS:

CCA ranked as the 57th-largest contractor in the United States on the Engineering News-Record (ENR) 2020 Top 400 Contractors list with a total revenue of $1.456 billion in 2019.

With an international income of $72.6 million in 2019, CCA also ranked No. 37 on the ENR Top 50 Contractors Working Abroad list. The ranking reflects CCA South America’s steady development in the Caribbean and Latin American countries in 2019. As in the past, CCA is expected to continue its leadership role as a top contractor working abroad in the coming years.

In the US market, CCA ranked No. 41 on the Top 50 in Domestic Building and Manufacturing Revenue list with revenue totaling $1.21 billion in 2019, increasing from last year’s ranking. In 2019, Plaza Construction successfully completed several high-end buildings, such as One Thousand Museum and 565 Broome Street, and won several industry awards. CCA Civil delivered the Macombs Dam Bridge without a single major safety accident and ensured smooth operations of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) Expansion Project. CCA also entered into the Texas and California construction markets after winning the contract for the Hailiang Texas Copper Manufacturing Plant project in Houston and the China Mobile International (CMI) data center development project in San Jose.

ENR’s cover story reviewed the US 2019 construction market, which generated a new record of $414.39 billion in contracting revenue before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. The pandemic hit hard and fast, leaving a heretofore healthy industry in chaos in the beginning of 2020. At the same time, contractors are also facing challenges related to declining productivity because of health precautions, supply-chain disruptions and project delays and cancelations.

ENR is a weekly magazine widely recognized by the construction industry. Each year it compiles and publishes rankings of the largest construction and engineering companies based on factors such as their US and international revenue volume, backlog size, new contracts, market share and sectors.
