PROJECT DESCRIPTION

CCASC, Inc. was awarded the River Bluff High School contract in January 2011. The two-story, 520,000-square-foot state-of-the-art high school consists of a three-level, steel-framed building with masonry load-bearing walls.

The school features offices, classrooms, a kitchen, laboratories, a competition gym with 2,100 seats and portable scoreboard, a practice gym, an auditorium with 1,100 seats, advanced performance AV system and orchestra platform. The project’s innovative design features include a large curtainwall, translucent panel and skylights to maximize daylight. The building’s bricks were made of raw materials harvested from the site. The project’s energy-efficient HVAC system was designed and constructed to optimize energy performance and enhanced commissioning.
