CCA Won another bid in South Carolina

  • On May 3, 2012, CCA South Carolina office won the bid on Trident Technical College Nursing and Science Building Project (TTC), which is the first project awarded in South Carolina in 2012. With a contract value of $24.4 million, the project will last for 16 months.

Located in North Charleston, South Carolina, the project is designed to be a prominent training facility covering 113,458sf. The main structure is three stories tall, which includes finishing features such as high-end curved wood wall baffles and wood ceilings. It is worth mentioning that earthquake drains have been chosen to mitigate possible liquefaction settlement since the city is located on a fault zone.

CCA South Carolina office has completed several LEED projects in the past, including the USC Honors Residence Hall in Columbia, which was awarded the Gold LEED certification. Green theme has also been widely applied in the project, featuring a green roof and solar panels to lower the carbon footprint of the building.
